CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid derived from the Cannabis sativa plant. CBD does not produce a euphoric “high” effect that is commonly associated with THC in cannabis.
CBD has been shown to potentially interact with multiple receptors in your body to help regulate multiple natural functions and enhance your overall biological balance.
The CBD used in GMB Farms products is derived from hemp plants, which contain less than 0.3% THC.
How CBD Works
Cannabinoids, like CBD, have been shown to interact with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) that controls and regulates many functions in our body. Studies have shown that CBD interacts with the CB1 and CB2 receptors within the ECS as it works to help control equilibrium within the body.
CBD affects every individual differently, and all kinds of factors need to be considered – from your weight and age, to your dietary consumption. However, all the best advice suggests you should start with a lower dosage and build up gradually.
Either way, consistency is the key – in order to see optimal results, taking CBD regularly and maintaining your regiment is important to receive the most beneficial effects. Is CBD Legal?
While Cannabis sativa that contains more than 0.3% THC is still considered a Schedule 1 narcotic on the federal level, the 2018 Agricultural Improvement Act paved the way for cannabis containing THC below that level to be cultivated as industrial hemp.
Because CBD does not produce a “high”, products derived from industrial hemp that contain CBD are legal across a majority of the U.S. However, it is important to know the laws in your area, as CBD is not legal everywhere. In Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota, CBD remains an illegal substance.
If you do not live in those areas, then chances are that you are free to purchase and take CBD however and whenever you like.
